www.uidai.gov.in is the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). The main objective for the establishment of UIDAI was to provide Unique Identification Numbers or UIDs named as Aadhaar to all the residents of India.

  • Enrolment and Update Centres in Banks and Post offices: This option gives individuals facility to find their nearest banks and post offices where Aadhaar enrolment can be done.
  • Locate Enrolment & Update Centres: By choosing this option, individuals can locate any Aadhaar enrolment centre.
  • Check Aadhaar Status: If you have enrolled for Aadhaar, you can select this option to check if your Aadhaar is generated or not.
  • Download Aadhaar: This facility allows the user to download E-Aadhaar by using your Aadhaar, EID or VID. By using this facility, you can get your Aadhaar number on your mobile phone.
  • Retrieve Lost UID / EID: If you lose your Aadhaar number or Enrolment number, you can retrieve it from here.

Update at Enrolment Centre: If you want to update any information other than your address, you cannot do it online. You need to visit an Aadhaar enrolment centre. You can find your nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre (or Permanent Enrolment Centre) using this facility.

Check Status – Update done at Enrolment Centre/ECMP: Once you have updated any details at any of the Permanent Enrolment Centres, you can use this facility to check if the changes have been incorporated in your Aadhaar.

Address Update Request (Online): If your demographic details i.e. address has changed, you can update the new details in your Aadhaar here.
