Procedure for Registration on Income Tax Department Website

Step 1:

Please click on the link and follow the below mentioned procedure.

Step 2:

Kindly click on

“Register Yourself”

button present on the top right corner.

Click on Register Yourself on ITD

Step 3:

On the registration form, please select user type as


and click on



Select Individual

Step 4:

Next step is to fill the mandatory fields (marked with asterisk) and click on

Step 5:

Please fill all the mandatory details (marked with asterisk). Make sure to fill correct mobile number and email-id currently used by you, as further communication will be sent to your email id and mobile number by Income Tax department and click on



Enter details and submit

Step 6:

Once the registration is complete, you will receive an email on your registered email id from Income Tax Department through their email id,


. Make sure to add this email id to your white list/ safe sender list so that the email does not end up in spam box in your email account. An OTP PIN will also be sent to your registered mobile number.


Step 7:

Access the email sent to you by Income Tax department and click on the enclosed activation link. It will take you to the activation page.

Click on the activation link

Step 8:

In the activation page, enter the PIN you received earlier and press



Enter PIN and submit

Step 9:

Once you submit the OTP, your registration is successfully completed.

Registration is successful


You have successfully completed your registration process. Now you can login to access your account.
