ITR-V stands for ‘Income Tax Return–Verification’ Form. It is a one page document. ITR-V is received when you file your I-T return online—without using a digital signature. It is sent by the I-T Department. You are required to print, sign and send it to CPC Bangalore to complete your return.
After sending your ITR-V, you can check its status to find out if it has been received and processed by ITD (Income Tax Department) or not. You can go to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in to check the status of your ITR-V.
After e-filing the Income Tax Return, you will receive the ITR-V or the acknowledgement of filing. Following are the different ITR-V status and their interpretations.

If you do not e-verify the tax return or do not send the hard copy of the ITR-V to CPC Bangalore, the status will be ‘ITR-V not received’. This means that the process of e-filing is not complete from your part and you either need to e-verify the tax return or send the copy of the ITR-V to Bengaluru within 120 days of e-filing the tax return.
