The process for applying for a duplicate PAN card is simple and doesn’t take a lot of time. You can apply for it online through the official TIN-NSDL website of the Income Tax Department. All you have to do is enter in the necessary details and submit the online form. You can send in your application in a physical form by downloading it or getting it from the PAN centres or any vendor providing such forms, filling the details, duly signing it, attaching the relevant documents and send it by post on:

You will receive an acknowledgement that contains a unique number on acceptance of this form. You can use this acknowledgement number to track the status of your application.
The application process for a duplicate PAN card requires you to follow some simple steps which are explained below.
Step 1: Visit the official TIN-NSDL website
Step 2: You can choose any one of the two options ‘Apply Online’ or ‘Registered User’. If you have selected ‘Apply Online’, you need to select the third option, that is ‘Changes or correction in existing PAN Data/Reprint of PAN Card (No changes in existing PAN Data)’ under the ‘Application Type’ head. Select the relevant Category and fill in all the details.
Step 3: After entering all the details, check them to make sure that you have added the correct information and that there is no mistake. If you find a mistake click on ‘Reset’ and enter the correct details, if not click on ‘Submit’.
Step 4: If you have selected ‘Registered User’, you will have to enter the ‘Temporary Token Number’, your E-mail ID and your ‘Date of Birth’. Enter the captcha code shown on the screen in the filed given and click on ‘Submit’. If you haven’t received the token, you can click on the ‘Resent Token’ button and then enter the information.
While filling the application form, you can either choose to provide Aadhaar based e-Sign, a Digital Signature Certificate or a physical acknowledgement. If you have chosen any one of the first two options, you will have to upload the scanned images of your photograph, signature and other supporting documents. In case of the Aadhaar e-Sign, you will have to upload a scanned copy of your Aadhaar card.
If an error occurs, it will be displayed on your screen, which you will have to rectify and re-submit the application form. If there are no errors, a confirmation screen will be displayed with all the data that you have filled.
The application process for a duplicate PAN card is not free. However, the price is minimal. If you are an Indian Citizen and you want a physical PAN card, you will have to pay Rs 110 (Processing fee Rs 93 + 18% GST). If you are a foreign citizen, you will have to pay Rs 1020 [(Processing fee Rs 93 + Dispatch Charges Rs 771) + 18% GST] to get the physical PAN card.
