Follow the below mentioned steps to complete the payment process.
Step 1: Login to the GST portal through the link https://services.gst.gov.in/services/login
Step 2 : Click on Services > Payments and Create Challan option
Step 3: Enter the tax liability details and enter the relevant amount details and select the method of payment – NEFT / RTGS or visiting branch i.e., over the counter option.
Step 4: Once all the details are filled, click on ‘Save Challan’ option
Step 5: A ‘Reference Number’ is generated and displayed on the screen. Click on ‘Saved Challan’ option
Step 6: Click on the ‘Edit’ button (blue color icon) under ‘Action’ option
Step 7: Click on ‘Generate Challan’ and you will be re-directed to the page
Step 8: Select ‘Net Banking’ and choose your ‘Bank Name’ and click on ‘Make Payment’ tab
In case you wish to make payment by visiting bank, then take a printout of the challan and visit the bank to make payment.
Otherwise, you can also make payment through NEFT or RTGS option. After receiving the challan with the tax details paid, save it for future reference.
